Zimbabwe Revenue Authority requires registered operators to use approved fiscalisation devices or software fiscal units to record and transmit sales transactions. Advatech is developing ZIMRA integration. Join the waitlist to be notified when onboarding opens.
The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) requires businesses registered for VAT under the Value Added Tax Act to use approved fiscalisation devices (FDs) or software-based fiscal units to record and transmit sales transactions. The fiscalisation requirement mandates that every sale generates a fiscal receipt with a unique serial number and ZIMRA-validated data.
ZIMRA's fiscalisation framework covers both physical fiscal devices (connected to POS hardware) and increasingly software-based integration paths for businesses operating modern ERP or cloud POS environments. Advatech is developing the software integration path aligned to ZIMRA's technical specifications.
If you also operate in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, or Uganda, you can onboard those live integrations now. Zimbabwe will be added to the same Advatech platform when available, keeping your regional compliance under one integration layer.
ZIMRA fiscalisation requires VAT-registered businesses to use ZIMRa-approved fiscal devices or software fiscal units to record and validate every sales transaction. Each transaction generates a fiscal receipt with a unique ZIMRA reference number. The fiscal data is stored on the device and can be transmitted to ZIMRA for audit and compliance reporting.
ZIMRA has approved both physical fiscal devices (hardware FDs) and software-based fiscal units for qualifying businesses. Advatech is developing the software fiscal unit integration path, which allows ERP and POS systems to generate fiscalised receipts via API without dedicated hardware. Eligibility depends on business type and registration; we confirm this during the scoping call.
Yes. If you operate in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, or Uganda, you can onboard those live integrations now via Advatech's KYC process. Zimbabwe ZIMRA will be added to the same platform when available, so your Southern and East African compliance stays under one integration layer.
